KLD Energy Technologies, an emerging leader in electric drive system engineering, development and manufacturing with headquarters in Austin, Texas, announced today it will be providing their employees access to free, off-grid solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles. This announcement is in support of Earth Day's theme to elevate environmental awareness and influence the way people think, live and work. These solar car ports will utilize KLD's proprietary battery solution and will showcase how integrating Samsung lithium battery banks with the KLD designed solar charging technology can be used for off-grid cellular towers, energy storage, back-up energy and other applications.

The charging stations will be capable of both Level 1 and Level 2 charging which will accommodate a wide variety of electric vehicles.
